the res is going dry and the limits have been lifted. it still has quite a bit of water but the fish will die before enough water comes in

Didn't think there were any fish in it! Have a friend in Calhan, drove by it several times, never thought of fishing it.

With how frequently that lake goes dry I'm surprised they put any fish in it.

Yea I saw the article this morning and was kind of curious if it was worth the drive or not. Google maps shows it entirely dried up like a marsh so I'm not sure.

the picture I saw on the news showed the boat ramp with water about 70 feet from the end of the ramp it looked about 1/2 full. it is a shallow lakeshore fishing with a long cast should catch fish. I could be wrong but I think it has bluegills, bass, and bullheads. the pic also showed some pond scum
