Late post but better late than never. Last weekend went fishing at Rainbow Cove at Rampart (winds gusting over 50 mph) and mackinaw were biting on sucker meat. Watched a guy pull out a 28 incher. I tried panthers, rooster tails, power bait, everything in my arsenal but nothing worked. Last year at this time they were biting on everything I threw out there! I thought reservoir was mostly ice free, but the portion near the dam and to the east is still all frozen over, as I found out when I biked around it. Water levels are much lower than last year.

Thanks for the info. Good first post? Last couple years up there I've done awful, used to do excellent.
