there are several camp grounds in the area -- all charge a fee. there is also national forest down the road a ways.

Boat ramp -- Yes and it is pretty nice. gas motors allowed.

$5 bucks to get in hours for boating 7am -7pm

it is a really nice lake with a beautiful view and a fair amount of 18 inch lakers

I come in from the springs. I take 24 to woodland park and then turn right at the Micky D and then follow the signs. rampart range road is pretty bumpy and you would not want to haul a boat on it -- it would take a while to go the 15 miles.

No -- I said you should not haul a boat up rampart range road from the springs - it is a dirt road and pretty bumpy -- not 4 wheel drive bumpy -- but it would beat the heck out of a boat on a trailer. If you come in from Woodland park most of the road is paved -- except a small stretch and it is well maintained.

Rampart is an excellent lake for boating. It is not to big and has alot of nice coves -- perfect place to fish from a boat.
sorry for the confusion
