Took my youngest boy out fishing today and when the rain and wind came up we went driving around.  Well I was sitting in the jeep watching a boat drifting in the waves.  The rangers came up and tossed them a rope.  As soon as the rangers hit the throttle and gave them the first hard yank I knew it was going to be good.  The boat was pulled under at least 3 times. I was looking for my binos when I found I had the digital with me.  This is what I took.

the boat did not flip but it did get pulled under. You cant tell by the pictures but the waves where big and the nose of the boat would just dig in and down the boat would go.

At first they had a lot of rope out and the boat started to go down. After the fist time they shortened it up and I started taking pictures. It didn't seem to make any difference from what I could see.

If you look at the 5th and 6th picture that is the second time it started to get pulled under. If you look closely you can see passengers on the boat still. After the second time it went they got off into the rangers boat.

In the 9th picture it went under all the way and they lost a lot of stuff out of the boat.

10th picture the boat started to come back up again.
11th boat going back down
12th going deeper

After this the winds changed a bit and the waves where not as large. They took it into a small cove and pulled it up on shore as much as they could. The back end of the boat was underwater when at shore.

Yep this has changed my mind about a small cheap bargin boat. I was looking at a boat for $300 a 16' tri hull with a 20 horse. "Ran when we parked it." I think I will hold out for a bigger newer one now.

you can do a lot of fishing in a 16' with a 20 horse you just have to watch the wind and weather better
