I heard that too. But even when their fishing stuff is for sale it is still expensive. $6.99 for a Rapala? Forget it. I get my gulp bait directly from Berkley. Does any one else use direct suppliers?

Yeah but they do that about twice a year... I have picked up rods and reels there for about 25 cents on the dollar but then they go back and stock up again and hike the prices up through the roof.

I buy almost all my plastics Bulk. I have purchased 4 new shimmano curado reels from ebay saving about 20% and most of my rods are purchased from BP when on sale. I am kinda bumed out about BP and Cabelas because we will now have to pay tax.

I'm more of a catfish/carp guy, but my wife lives for bass, white bass, striped bass, and wipers, so I usuallu just buy my stuff in bulk for her.

you must have gotten a really good deal on that gulp bait. My husband and I went to wal-mart in Greeley and paid 4.96 for the stuff. At first I was hesitant because I didn't think that somenthing like that was gonna catch a fish. I am an anxious fisherwoman and get too excited if there is such a thing.

i really like these baits. i usaully go thru a bag in 2 days at dixon in ft. collins and i have had my best days using the 7in watermelon worm weighless fished slow. good luck and let us know how they work out the thing with plastics at least for me was just learning that it is ok to fish them real slow. and to control my self and set the hook with a side motion. new to it so hopefully some of the more seasoned bass fisher on here will post.
