Fished both rifle and harvey today. My focus was pike and only pike. I fished rifle for about 2 hrs and saw 3 pike, one of which I hooked on a #15 silver panther martin. It was about 30" but it spit the hook a couple minutes into the fight. The other 2 northerns I saw were small. According to some other people, trout fishing was slow. My dad claims he saw a large northern that probably went 36".
Went to harvey and saw several huge northerns, but no matter what I threw at em they wouldn't hit. No matter where I went on the lake or what fish I would cast to. nada. I tried everything besides flies, and there were a couple flyfisherman also who didn't catch any. ughhh. Probably needs to warm up. I'd say 2 weeks from now would be premium.

hatch, only if you bring a chain saw first and cut a channel through the ice to cast in ;D. Still a little early for stagecoach. If it gets warm the ice might be melted but I think it might still be a little to cold
