What a Great tournament! We had the best time fished Harvey on friday starting at 9:30 am till 3:30 in 21 to 27 fow and the vexilar was full all day long ended up cathing about 40 between 3 of us gills, perch, and 2 largemouths over 15" Fished the tournament Sat. and Sun. and we hammered fish both days between six guys close to 60 fish mostly myself and my buddy Ian but we all had a great tourney, nice perch 11 3/4" was our biggest and lots of bows between 10" and 16". Overall it was a great time with some freinds we don't get to fish with as often as we would like to!

I'm surprised the winner was that small (13.5") I would've though 14-15" would've won, like in years past, but I'd be wrong. That is still a great fish though, and they are great eating. I particularly enjoyed eating some 10-13" perch iceintheveins caught from rifle a couple of times this year. I don't like catching perch; they're boring, but they taste good.

What was his prize?

I did not place in the money but did place on the board in 8th for the rainbow division! We only measured one perch at 11 3/4" and two rainbows at 15 3/4"

Bobco/Fishnguy,

Sounds like a lot of fun for all. I was hoping you guys could point me in the right direction on catching some of those perch when I'm up there in a couple of weeks.

Where is the best fishing for them on the lake? How deep? What were you using? I'm taking the kids up in hopes that they can get into the perch to keep their interests perked ;)

Thanks,

Chris
