We really enjoy fishing around S.Fork and Creede, but wonder if the fish have rebounded since the fire - anybody been up there recently? Well, not recently, but last fall?

And up from Creede?
Also fishing real good. Although I am not sure how the tailwater section is doing since the fire. I fished it the fall before the fire and it was good, but I have not been back up since. I have heard it got pretty torched around the campgrounds, but it could very well be really good as part of it is a meadow.

Box canyon is still great, maybe better. Fire burned out the willows and dense bush. hard to get in. campgrounds below dam were closed. Walked in anyway. Was going to go up fern creek last year but it was burned out. Went to Ute creek instead, Western edge of the fire. Check with the boys at rio grande anglers in Creede. They rock for info.

Here's part of my trip to the area.
