PD,
Fly guys love spending money!

For $140 it better point the fish out for ya too :)
Meh. It's anodized aluminum and should last many years. Small price to pay for a quality piece of gear IMO. Besides, it's cheaper than the Fishpond net ($200) I was looking at.

Hey B reelz,

Did you receive it yet? Whatcha think of it in hand?

$140 on FISHING gear is cheap.

Well cheaper than a boat that those metal heads spend! >:D

and their tackle purses, 12 rods lined up with their special lines and reels and tricked out lures(which some lures cost more than the rod), ect ect ect :biggrin1:

And don't forget about thsoe BBQ Lords that have to have special equipment $$$$ to cook food, when all you need is fire(heat) :p

Sure just let me borrow some of that 20lb test you've been using.
FYI, on my 3-wt I use 3.5 lb tippett, sometimes 2LB. On my spinning gear for trout I use 4 or 6 lb mono.

Fly/bubble I use 2 lb leader.

Comes down to knowing your equipment and utilizing it with God-like precision-

NYAH NYAH NYAH NYAH

I got it; it's definitely stout and well made (USA). Appears a little heavier than the comparable sized net from Fishpond, but another 1lb won't matter. Will be an interesting carry due to size, but with a magnetic release it fits nicely (bow up) over my fishing backpack.

Yeah the flask is interesting. I don't drink+fish, but it looks big enough to hold enough doobies for a day on the water ; )

It's funny when people say "I don't drink and do x" but they smoke dope.

I couldn't function if I had a puff but could have some drinks and be fine.

Interesting how the stuff impacts people differently... and tolerances I guess.

Okay I'm done being off topic. Let us know how you like the net!

Think I over-engineered this net carry setup?

Believe it or not, the net seems to stay-put nice and just peel right off your back when you grab for it.

Hopefully I can get a chance to try it out this weekend.

Chance favors a prepared mind!! Or gear bag!!

At a buck forty it is a good idea to have a safety plan.

Where you fishing this weekend?

Somewhere "local" (within 90m drive). I have at most a 1/2 day of free time so will likely just be an AM fish. Man; public school (back in session here) schedules really affect my fishing time!!

Worst part about this damn net is it has a ruler on it; it's not going to be easy to exaggerate fish size now!
