didn't have a lot of time but hit the Roaring fork just above Aspen for 2hrs. got 3 rainbows about 13" lots of hits and lost a couple. mostly on Barr emergers. no dry fly action happening. then went to Basalt and stopped at Frying Pan Anglers to check up on the local flys. Got hooked up with some drys (none were rising there either) and Baetis emergers. Tried a couple of areas in town and caught4 browns 14-16" lots of hits lost another 6. So, very productive for 2-1/2 hrs there. put on two different color Baetis emergers and they hit both colors about equally.
Next weekent i am going to hit the Arkansas.

The Fork may be Colorado's best fly fishing river. About the average to land 10 - 12 trout on a fly rod. Hard to beat. Many fish over 4 pounds and up to over 10.
