I drove by there on my trip, was going to take the family but once again ran out of time. The bite has to be good though because both times I drove by there were atleast 10 cars there, and this was during the middle of the week. With all the places to fish in this area of Gunnison county that many people in one spot tells me they are catching them.

if you want to catch salmon there timing is everything, the ponds close fast because once there is a quite afew salmon they dont want anybody tempering with them, once in the ponds they turn brick red and make it up the little waterfowl to the next pond and from there their milked, i got to meet the guy who runs roaring judy, he was the nicest person he showed me around and give me some stocking numbers for kokanee throughout the state
