Hey fishingkats is Timber still dry? It most likely is but I just thought I would ask. Are you catching these fish from shore? i don't think I could afford to bring my boat down there gas is just to high but I wouldn't mind fishing from shore.

I am sure it is still dry but Timber lake was off of Highway 50 about and hour before you get to John Martin. You had to take a different road ( Forgot the name) once you got past the super walmart out that way. It has been a few years since I was there but it had great catfishing. The wipers and bass were nice in there too. I have been praying for rain so it will fill back up again. It would still take years for it to get back to where it was but I remember talking to a few locals one time who said sometimes they were the only boat on the lake. I would love to put my boat on there someday.

Hey Fishingkats. Nice CATCHES!

I'm thinking about heading down there. Where is the lake located? Wouldn't mind meeting up with a fellow Coloradofisherman. I've asked everyone I run into if they go on COLORADOFISHERMAN.COM. Many of them either don't respond or just don't want to talk.

The lake is located between Eads and Lamar in south east colorado. From Denver drive east to Limon on 70 and just east of town is an exit to go to Kit Carson. Take this highway down to Kit Karson where the same highway turns straight south. The lake is around 10 miles south of Eads. On the east side the first lake is Nee Noshe, and another mile or 3 south on the west side is Nee Gronde.
Hope this helps.
