They lowered the water level enough so the water tower could be demolished. Then build a new control system.
It would be a stinking mess me thinks.

Every time Sanchez comes up all I can think of is what a great lake it was for pike and
walleye. A buzzbait in the weedy shallows was great-sometimes you could see the wake coming at the lure.

The wife and I went out there about 4 yrs ago and fished for two days-caught about 20 pike but nothing over 30" and they were skinny. Our last hurrah there.

I used to fish it for the Walleye. It made me look good with 20" plus fish.
Pike were a nuisance but fun to catch.

I've heard that the lake has caught a lot of water this year but that they aren't allowing any fishing yet. Hopefully it will bounce back the next few years.
