I'm looking for a place within a couple hours of Denver that holsd big brookies. We were gonna hit the stream below Sherwin and Chinns, but the fish in the stream aren't too big. I know just about any mountain stream holds brookies, but I don't wanna wander up into the mountains without any idea. You can PM me if you don't wanna post a spot but u don't mind telling me or something.

Also mention any random high "slayerfish type lakes" you can think of within a couple hours of D-town.

The only good high lakes within a couple hrs are pretty much gonna have cutty's in 'em. Although the Indian Peaks area might have some brooky's.Believe it or not, there are some fairly large brooky's in the lake just below St. Mary's Glacier.Around the backside by the cliff.14"ers maybe?
