I've suddenly developed a hankering for fried rabbit... I figured some of you might be hunters as well as fishermen, so thought I'd see if any of you have an extra rabbit in the freezer... Or, know of a grocery store that might carry it in the meat section...

When I was in California I could get rabbit in the grocery store, but haven't found any out here...

Thanks!

Kari, The only place I know of where you can get rabbit is at a health food store, i have seen them at wild oats on 92nd and Sheridan. They carry buffalo too, which is sooooo good, healthier than beef. Other than that you might try a butcher shop.

Thanks for the ideas/suggestions... Is that farm a live rabbit farm? Don't think I have the guts to kill a rabbit before I eat it... Although I have killed chickens I raised...

I'm becoming such a wuss in my old age... I even felt sorry for the worm I put on my hook last weekend... :(

:D That sounds familiar...feeling sorry for the wormies...Last year i found myself telling one "I'm so sorry little worm"....Ha ha ha! I quickly got over it though.

we would grab chickens by the head, swing thier bodies around and around till thier bodies would fly off when i was a kid...thats how my aunt taught us to do it.
