I'm sure this has probably happened to others too....
I went to Chatfield yesterday with my daughter. As I made a cast, a seagull flew into my line. I pulled the bird in and as I reached down to start untangling it the line came loose and bird flew off.

Besides that we got a couple of small walleye and a bunch - 10 or so - smallmouth bass in front of the dam with 2 3/4 inch green tube jigs. Between 6 and 12 inches maybe. My daughter had a good time - esp since she got the biggest one and I caught the smallest - I'll hear about that for a while.

and a big thanks to the squall that blew in and chased the crowd off the lake.

Did you get a picture of the gull? :) We love pictures here! (even my small fish)

I hope we get another today. I would like to take the boat out today. But I won't risk life and limb unless a bunch of boats get off the lake.

Haha when that little storm rolled over Lake Pueblo, it was funny to see the water super busy then 1 or 2 boats out there.
I'm willing to bet Dad had a good time to, letting the girl catch the big one... ;)
