I'm sure this has probably happened to others too....
I went to Chatfield yesterday with my daughter. As I made a cast, a seagull flew into my line. I pulled the bird in and as I reached down to start untangling it the line came loose and bird flew off.
Besides that we got a couple of small walleye and a bunch - 10 or so - smallmouth bass in front of the dam with 2 3/4 inch green tube jigs. Between 6 and 12 inches maybe. My daughter had a good time - esp since she got the biggest one and I caught the smallest - I'll hear about that for a while.
and a big thanks to the squall that blew in and chased the crowd off the lake.
