I tend to stop at a lot of small bodies of water. Some times they can be productive, as they were today. My question is, if you were to keep a few things in the car to for these random stops, what would be the first things to throw?
A bobber with 2 small jigs under it is how I first approach any body of water to see if there are any easy targets. After that I will go to a lipless crank most likely, or a small football jig just depends what the structure is like. Small jerkbaits too
That's similar to what i was thinking. I keep a few different different sized sencos, small swim baits, and some jerk baits. Size 6 and 8 husky jerks seem to be what i throw first. There are so many spots to stop and fish on my way home, sometimes it takes a while to make it the 8 miles from work to home.
