Anyone remember how early the Snake River Inlet on Dillon Res froze last year? Seems like it wasn't too long from around this time last year. It's that about the first ice fishing opportunity of the season?

I don't remember last year, but it is often fishable by Thanksgiving weekend.

It doesnt seem we are having as cold of a winter this year as the last one... I think Thanksgiving would probably be a good guess.

there is ice, i was there saturday, only had one ice rod , no auger, but i used old holes, no kokes, one guy had one that he caught in the morning , it was about 4 and a half inches thick, id use caution with this hot weather it makes the ice iffy
