Hey guys. Last year I camped in Colorado for 2 months and fished about 100 locations. 2017 had record snow levels and many streams were running high even in late August. Here is a video of one I tried to fish 3 times.

I filmed about 50 streams but most were just too fast to fish. Now Colorado has the lowest snow levels in 20 years. How soon can I start fishing. Its a 2000 mile drive for me to get there.

Thank you.

Good luck Astro! I just burned I don't know how long watching your videos. Great stuff. Loved the cutty fishing in one of the videos.

Typically by mid July most rivers have peaked and are fishable, even in high snow years. Even in high water, the fish will be pushed up on the banks and accessible. Finding room to cast in some areas is another story, but keep up the adventures and I'm sure you will find some sweet spots that will produce. Later in the summer, August, you might try getting up to some high alpine lakes and the small streams that come out of them.
