sorry so many questions...gulp minnows

how is everyone hooking there 3 inch gulp minnows, ive tried a jioghead, but should i go for more of a carolina rig or what?

Wacky rig the minnow and stick a finishing nail stuck in its head, makes it look like the minnow is feeding.

I gotta give that a try, how far back do you hood it?
