fished the river yesterday from deckers to the split.
cought 4 browns 12"-16" on small rapala, brown and then on smell mepps gold #1 weather was cold but a good day in all.
no one around cept my yellow lab. the river is still low

Nice report. That is actually the South Platte river proper where you fished. The south fork of the south platte is the one that runs through Antero into the middle fork around Hartsel.

sorry my mistake but the bite was still good. probably hit it again this weekend. the weather is supposed to be good

I have fished there many times. Mostly from scraggy view picnicground to the confluence. The worm water. Great place to fish and catch.
