We went a few miles up South St. Vrain canyon Sunday. On the way up, we saw some bighorns. First time I've seen them in that canyon. Anyway, on to the fishing. It was pretty slow. I caught about 6 or so smallish, really skinny browns. I was using a size 4 brassy panther martin hard hackle. Actually just an 1/8 ounce panther martin, black body, brass blade. It was kind of dissappointing as I've done very well up there in the past. Oh well, what are you gonna do? On a strange note, I saw a dead scarlet king snake on the side of the road. I had no clue any of those guys lived anywhere near hear.
