Fishing Spinney Res. for the first time this week. Any advice on patterns / techniques would be greatly appreciated. I have been told they have a good pike population. Anyone catch them with fly gear? I will be bringing my float-tube and my friend will have a pontoon boat.

Check with Chapperal Park General Store, the action is starting to wind down, but should still be pretty good for smaller fish. Try some calibetis and midge patterns around the first or second parking lot. Your bound to catch a few.

I second that (Chaparral Park General store) ask for the new owner "Rob" Robinson...Great store, good attitudes, and they will point you in to a great spot whether your on shore or in a boat, using fly or spin gear, and if your targeting trout or pike...They know that lake like the back of their hand...

I know some guys that do real well black and green wolly buggers, also leech patterns will catch pike. Large streamers work. Cast around weedbeds by the parking lots Oats mentioned.
