Hit up Spinney. Fun day. Surface water temps were 53 in the morning and warmed to 58 by the end of the day. Caught 10 or 11 pike and a few trout. No size to the pike but it was fun as all fish came on the fly rod. Just fishing seven to eight foot of water stripping a black micro leech..nine foot leader of six pound test ..no indicator and a small piece of shot.

Hobie,
you use steel leaders or just the 6# test? (when targeting pike)

I was just using straight six pound test..got snipped a couple of times. Was after trout and pike. When just fishing for pike, I've been using a 30lb test P-Line co polymer leader.

Hit Spinney today 10/18/2014. Landed four pike 21", 20", 19" and a dink. One big rainbow on the leach. Heavy streamer black bunny, white and red with a unweighted olive leach dropper. I did equally well on each. Beautiful calm day on the reservoir.
