Tried the Spratt Platte for the first time today.  Fished for about an hour just south of the big deck and had no luck.  Tried kastmasters, crankbaits, huskyjerks, and carolina-rigged rubbers.  Not even a bite.  Water is clear and seems like a nice place.  I just don't understand how they expect you to catch a bullhead or catfish if you can only use flies and lures there.  Any advice?
Also checked out the gravel pits on 88th and Colorado. Man is that water clear and deep. Sign said there is even walleye in there. Lots of people fishing but didn't seen any catches. Did see a seven year old with a HUGE bow in my local paper that was caught last week though.
