Has anyone fished the tailwater below Stagecoach Reservoir? I have a chance to hit it next weekend for the first time. Flies?

Might also hit the reservoir from shore if all else fails. (inlet?)

midges are usually the mainstay. Small 22-24. Fish are educate so use fluoro and go thin 5x,6x. Try contacting the guys running the steamboat fishing company. www.steamboatfishing.com, they'll point you in the right direction.

Was up there a few weeks ago and saw alot of baetis. They opened the gate so you don't have to hike anymore. Caught all my fish on small copper johns 20-22 green was the color. Expect to see alot of bug activity. We are getting to that point of the year where midges will phase out as a main food source. But still have a few in your box. I would run baetis nymphs ie; FBPTs,Copper johns, and the like.
