I fished it quite a bit when I was in High School. There was walk-in access on the North end which had a trail all the way to the dam and you did NOT have to pay to get in. The corner of the dam was the hot spot, Bass, Rainbows, Channel Cats. You could not fish off the dam however. As long as you are not on the rocks of the dam your all right, otherwise the park rangers will be all over you!! Power Bait, Marshmallows were tops for trout up to 18". The inlet is good for walleye in the spring, use live minnows on the bottom in the evening or night, my largest walleye went 20". But I believe the state record came from that lake, so it definitely has nice fish in it.
