private only to boating and even then its just a big fee to put a boat on. Most areas are open to shore fishing to the public except for the dam and the bald eagle nesting area on the south and west side. Great fishin there that most don't know about. Great rainbow if u don't mind throwin them back I have caught plenty of 20-25 in bows and the wipers are huge along with the state record wallys. I would't keep anything from there as it is 10 miles away from rocky flats but I compare the rainbow fishin if u can find them to that of elevenmile or spinney.

Are you catching those bows from a boat or the shore? Have you caught them fishing from the south shore? Where?

daily pass 6
daily boat pass 13 , must be under 20 hp, nothing evan on your boat over 20 hp
annual pass for over 20 hp boats 620.00 and next year they will be going to a lottery system for the annual boat pass

From shore on the south side not near the inlet and only fish it it the spring and fall spring is when they come up to spawn and fall when they stuff themselfs before ice on. I use orange or peach sometimes pink power bait.
