private only to boating and even then its just a big fee to put a boat on. Most areas are open to shore fishing to the public except for the dam and the bald eagle nesting area on the south and west side. Great fishin there that most don't know about. Great rainbow if u don't mind throwin them back I have caught plenty of 20-25 in bows and the wipers are huge along with the state record wallys. I would't keep anything from there as it is 10 miles away from rocky flats but I compare the rainbow fishin if u can find them to that of elevenmile or spinney.

Are you catching those bows from a boat or the shore? Have you caught them fishing from the south shore? Where?

I remember about 5 years ago me and my dad were fishing Standly and he pulled out a 7lb rainbow. Standly is a pretty good place for trout and close too. We eat fish from Standly all the time and nothing is wrong with us lol.
