Hi everyone, my computer died a couple weeks back and I just got this new machine...so that's why no one has heard from me. Sorry for those reports I missed, I'm going to take a look back in a few mintues. Anyway I have been fishing; Last weekend my wife beat me to the punch on our first bass of the season. I had one shake the hook just a few minutes earlier. We both got a couple more follows that day but only the one fish was landed. Really I was glad she got the fish since it was also the first fish on her new bass rod {6'6"M St.Croix triumph}. Last week I also fished the river and got such a hard hit on a jerkbait that ,no joke, it actually hurt my hand. Still somehow I missed the fish :'( :p. I went for some bass today again, it started slow and a few hours into it with no bites I was wondering if I was doing something wrong. At least it was nice casting in the warm weather...I kept at it and got a good bite and hooked into a nice fat bass. She did fight really well even in the cold water. It took quite a bit of casting for the one fish but well worth it! With the warm weather forcasted this week I'd guess the bass will be a lot more active in a week or two. Should be some good prespawn action soon. Tight lines everyone.

Jenn's first bass of '11 and first bass on new rod.

My first bass of '11. This pics from a little ways back and doesn't really do the fish justice. The pic by the rod shows the size and solid body condition more.

Awesome. That things a tank. Nothing but skunk for me so far, so well done. In fact, I haven't even gotten bit yet, so I can only imagine the amount of persistence put in for that one.
