We will be up there the last week of July for a baseball tourney. Staying at Eagle Ridge complex. From what I can see, it is pretty close to the Yampa and Casey's Pond. Are both worth fishing? Plan on bringing fly and light spinning gear for my son and I. What can I expect water flow and temp wise. Would hip waders be sufficient? Coming up from TX so I have chest waders as well.

Appreciate any insight you all may have.

Yampa is in town and has good fishing. Don't know about Casey's pond or if you can fish it.

Flows will depend on runoff so hard to say what they will be but by the end of July you should be golden. You can go to USGS and look up flows of the past to get a general idea.

Water will be chilly but I don't think it would be unbearable to wet wade, just depends if you are long legged or short legged. :)

You are going to be fishing in the middle of the "Tubing: season. The river will be filled with masses of people in rubber inner tubes from 10AM on. You can fish, catch & release-artificials only, the early morning or late evening without getting run over by tubers. There are plenty of access points to fish the river without boots or waders. You may be happier fishing Casey's Pond.
