I was wondering if anyone has ever fished and had any luck out there also has anyone ever caught a tiger muskie out there.

I used to catch HUGE BLACK CRAPPIES there and decent size LM BASS.

I was there saturday and landed a couple nice sized bass they are in spawn mode there. Was just curious if musky really did exist in there.

I've caught quite a few smaller ones and hooked a few BIG ones. (I fish there on my lunch hour a lot) I've seen goslings get taken several times. I've also caught quite a few bass in the 3-5 pound range.

I havn't fished it much probably 8times in the last five years the only thing i ever caught while fishing muskie was a catfish probly 5# on a six inch twitch bait. searched around, can't find the pic.

But I do hear of alot of sightings out there so take that for what it is.

This lake is pretty tough in my opinion. The shoreline to the north is closed to access and anglers can only cover a small percentage of the water...no boating allowed. The flip side here is that creates a lot of habitat to make excellent fish populations.

I've caught decent bucketmouth, a few catfish and a monster snapping turtle at Stearns. But I have skunked quite a bit here as well (I throw rat-l traps and big spinners, bass or mouse patterns).

The locals always tell me stories of +40" muskies just wallowing on the side of the dam face. Timing is key for that spectacle I guess but in 4 years I have yet to so much as spot a tiger here. But for some reason I keep trying.
