Went to Stern's yesterday afternoon for about an hour with my son. Ended up catching two 12 inch largemouth's on a Yum Dinger. Had 3 more that should have been landed, but spit the hook.

Also saw some big carp out there swimming along in the shallows.

Cope-Where is Sterns? Those seko's and senko type baits are great in the warmer months-its about all I throw from now until early Sept. If you want to target the carp, take some corn next time, they love it. Ed

Ed, Stern's is in between Broomfield and Lafayette off highway 287. You take 287 north out of Broomfield and turn onto Dillon road and take the first left off Dillon. Lake's just a little ways down on the left. No fee to fish. They have bass, carp, and tiger muskie in there, but am unsure of anything else.

Caught a 10lb cat here Saturday night on chicken liver and liver flavored powerbait. I put the liver up on the bait barbs of the hookand molded the softer powerbait around it to keep it on there. Put up a pretty good fight and the only other people there were fishing for crawdads.
