Yep dump enough bait in the lake and something will happen.
That, plus about one out of about every 4 char we catch has brown trout teeth marks on it. one out of every 3 arctic char are a product of natural reproduction. There is lots and lots of food in there now that wasn't there 5 years ago.
The gill net surveys show, that as the browns are getting bigger and more plenty full, sucker population is going down. Dillon needs a slot protection on Browns, but when they found out Browns eat alot of Char, a slot on browns will never happen.
If a guy catches a 3 year old 10" arctic char he must release it immediately.
A 15 inch brown in Dillon takes 12 years to grow with a historically extremely slow growth rate past 15 inches. If a guy catches 4 two footers that are probably 20 plus years old he can take them home.
Some things just don't make a whole lot of sense, but I'm just a dumb fisherman.
