Hey guys,

I would like to set up a spinning rod for river/stream fishing this winter and spring.
I'm thinking a Medium Light, fast tip. I don't know what length I should get. I have a Mitchell reel that I am partial to to use with it. Primarily going for trout, smallies, maybe the occasional eye. I would golight power, but I am afraid of catching the occasional carp as well. Don't like the ultralight rods I've found either, they feel too much like a wet noodle.
Any ideas would be most welcome!

Thanks
