Sat on my butt all morning, worn out from slaying bluegill on my 3wt yesterday. Grilled some elk brats and watched the Blues get whopped by the blackhawks. Decided to brave the weather and hit a few ponds in Longmont for bass. Left the fly rod and home and took the spinning gear out for the first time this year. Threw chartreuse & white roadrunner jigs with the same color curly tail grubs in 2 & 3". All worked, but white may have been better. Caught around 10 bass 10-14". All were caught close to shore with most right next to submerged brush/weeds. Caught one crappie also.
