I still enjoy and try to fly fish every summer.

Work took me to the mountains for the week, so I put the flail stick in the car for some after work hours relaxation.

All the running water outside of tail waters is super high, so I went to a not so out of the way still water.

Here’s a few of the dozen I caught in an hour and a half lobbing streamers on a 4 weight.

Nice! I might be done with fishing in the plains until fall. A couple of trips to the mountains is what's on my mind now.

Almost makes me want to dust off my fly gear. It's been a long time for me.

Hopefully you had the place to yourself or some decent solitude. Thanks for the post.

Yeah, I think I might have to. Just got home from PLO and only caught short walleye. Not a single bite after twilight at 930. After looking at your photos again, I think I need a day of wading, maybe even a hike.
