I am planning on taking the kids up to Tarryall for some of the hot and heavy action.  We will be there the morning of the 27th.  What is the best way to get there from Aurora?  Down through the Springs or through Jeferson?  The state park site says to go through Jeferson?  Do you agree?

Also what is a good location with easy access for young kids to catch fish?  I have not been there before.

Hi JukerC.

My best guess would be to take Hampden (285) or C470 around to 285 and go through Jefferson. To give an idea of distance, I live near Bowles and C470 (Littleton) and it is about 70 miles from my house to Tarryall.
