Had a great time getting into some fun fish so I thought I would post. We were a bit early for the full blown bite but I like being early, fish fight better as they are not wore out. Total blast on ultra light 6lb test.

Day 1 we got a whole bunch of White Bass, Crappie, Walters, and spots – had many triple hook ups and a three casts = three eyes in a row; not bad! It got good once we found a shallow, warm area with no trees.

Day 2 started off with three casts = three fish in a row, eyes, spots THEN – the wind started up like a raging B at our backs and blew all the fish out. Changed directions and blew out of the south for a moment and the eyes came in, caught several real quick then, back out of the southwest and it got tough. When we did find them they hit aggressively.

Day 3 35-37mph sustained winds – time to get out of there.

All in all a great time with good food, good drinks, and good friends/family. Caught @ 100 fish between all of us so not bad.
