A nice little clean lake. I caught alot of bluegills. Biggest was about 10". Also, I pulled in a big a$$ crawdad.

Sister works for the City of Erie and she told me that lake was stock with channels, bluegills, lm bass & CRAPPIE. Didn't catch anything but the gills.

Does anyone know anything about this lake? Can't find much info on it.

It's off of 119th ST & Austin.

If you take co-7(exit 229) west from I-25 North, make a right on 119th st and the lake will be on the right-

She also told me that the guy that manages the lake in Erie told her they have large Crappie in Erie Lake. Has anyone heard anything about Erie Lake?

I think some people mistaken gills for crappie, sometime.

So far, the only thing I've seen at Eerie Lake is big stocker trout. In earlier spring, I've seen my cousins bring home some nice 15" stockers. I'm willin to bet that the big crappies were there back when the lake was private. Between that time and the lake becoming public, they drained it for some reason. When drained I walked around there and saw numerous depressions in the ground which I would guess was catfish nests?
