I had some time to kill today so I hit up the Gravel Ponds for a few hours. Arrived around 11:30, surprisingly the place wasn't that crowded.
I started out at the first pond using a beadhead hairs ear. It was slow at first until a slight breeze put some chop on the water, then I was able to land 3 rainbows, not big, just stockers. I walked up to the second pond and was able to tag a couple more on a brown conehead wooly bugger. Nice day to get out, several schools of fish cruising the shoreline. If your willing to walk you can have a lot of shoreling to yourself.

If you look close you can see the fish close to shore!
