After what seems like years fly fishing harsh Winter conditions, it felt really good to get out there in some awesome Spring time conditions to catch some beautiful Rainbows, Browns and Brookies.

Pretty cool. I wish I had some clear water like that around here. The Arkansas is in runoff now. Creeks are the same way. I'm waiting for the passes to open so I can get to the Taylor and Frying Pan to fish. tailwaters are my only hope during runoff.

Yes, I read it opens Wed. I'm in BV too.

I got to thinking about the Taylor and I think it might be a bad idea as far as the Hog Trough is concerned. I'm too old to be chasing the trout downstream when hooked. I better fish downstream and be happy with smaller fish.

An even better idea is just fish the reservoir with a spin rod. :)
