how many people here fish the tournaments? i fish the wholford tournament every year and have fished in the green mountain one and granby in the past

i fish the granby one.and usually fire and ice at aurora res,but they didnt have it last year.

i stay away from tourneys never have been in to the competitive thing

it sure is nice to stand up in front of all those people and collect a check for doing something that you like to do anyway. it's a good feeling when you know that they are sitting there wondering how you caught those big fish.

I find that the weekend after a tournament is better, but the tournament beer is O.K. too.

We got whupped at the 11-mile tourney last year,didnt even bother to weigh our fish.I've fished granby,lake john,11-mile,cherry creek,aurora, only place we won was at 11-mile which we won like 3 years in a row.It used to be so easy!

Used to fish the antero tournys, always came close, but last minute weigh ins always seemed to inch us out, still alot of fun though!

i love the tournaments because its an excuse to get together with the boys have a few beverages and you also get to fish. what could be better? hopefully we can get a few people together for ice fishing this year ;D

I fished the 3, 11 mile tournaments last year and the 1st and 2nd Granby tournament.
I got 1st place in the Grand Slam on the 1st granby tournament and me and my partner was in 4th place over all in the 3, 11 mile touraments.

All and all we fished 5 ice tournaments and won money in 4. It was a pretty good year. :

thats a great year. i won a hand auger as a door prize in the wholford tournament and thought it was great

I think I might hit up a tournament or two this year, depending on how well I'm ice fishing this year.

Got bumped from 3rd place by a tenth of a pound my fish and the other guys were both 21" he was a tenth of a pound higher i love tournaments. even to go and catch no fish. i am always at the granby tournaments. a group of us head up, we all take our campers and usually fish together. i dont do it for teh competition, just to get away from teh house adn city for a few days. catching fish and winning the contest is a benefit!

Fished the Lake Hattie tourny a few years back, but nothing recently. Do the Granby tourney get slammed pretty hard?
