Is this lake iced over yet? I'd like to try and get into some laker fishing possibly.

Drove out to twin lakes, caught a bunch of rainbows others caught lakers in 8 to 16 fow. There's 8 to 10 inches of ice on the lake, and less near the shoreline more like 4-6. Both lakes frozen as well as mt. elbert forebay.

Returned it to water safely. Can't keep any between 22 to 34 inches. All fish in that range must be returned to the water. :)

Most lakers taste like carp anyway.
All fish except sushi kind and salmon taste like crap. I guess tuna, salmon and halibut are good, that's all I've eaten. I've been told perch, walleye and crappie I should have before I die.
