I have never iced Twin Lakes but I think I am going to try and spend alot of time up that way this winter. I will mostly be targeting macks. I am looking for suggestions on where to start on the lake. Looking at the map it has a lot of potential, but also looks like it has a ton of areas that have Mackinaw potential.

Two winters ago I fished Twin Lakes several times. I'd racked myself up from a mountain biking accident during the summer and couldn't ski that following winter. I would drop the kids off at Copper Mtn and hit Twin Lakes. Laker fishing was usually consistent with 3" tube jigs with and without sucker meat. Most of the hits came in about 20 to 40' of water off the first pull out. The vast majority of lakers were in the 16 to 21" range. As an interesting aside, where water flows in thru the concrete structure it doesn't freeze. Sometimes I flyfished that as well for rainbows. John
