Went up the canyon to a little lake with some cutthroats. Water temp was 46, some ice was forming in puddles near the lake. Hauled in the float tube. Noticed I have some holes in the but of my waders... Did a couple of laps, caught some cuttys. My ass went numb and my teeth started to chatter. Decided to warm up by hiking out and hit some moving water. Ended up at the North Platte. Didn't have much light left and nothing was rising, gave it a shot anyway. Man i love that river even if it did not give up the goods that day.

Good work! I'm glad someone is posting up reports in the FF section, I haven't been able to make it up in a couple of weeks.

How were the flows at NP?

Flows were low but fishable. There is a pic in the original post from the bridge. Water was tinted with alot of schmutz floating down stream. I guess the usual for fall on the NP near Walden. That is one fertile freestone. Chased up alot of ducks. Going to have to head back up there for a cast and blast!
