My husband and I went out to Union reservoir today for it's opening day of fishing. We were there from about 7 am to 2 pm, and i had one bite, and that was it. However, some men on the pier were catching trout, had a stringer of them so at least someone was catching something. Im not into trout and neither is my husband but we did enjoy just being back out there again even if we didn't catch anything. It will get better!

Thanks for the update. Shouldn't be long till your Cats are biting.

Anyone know where I can find more info on this place as far as boating rules and what not.

Speaking of cats...is it true that they don't start biting till around July here?... Someone PLEASE tell me that isn't so! Ha!

Like all fish you can catch them at any time its just harder at different times. Once the water tempature reaches 55 they become more active, if it is a really hot summer and water tempatures reach above 80 alot of cats will be pushe upto the surface where they can get oxygen easier as the cool deep holes become crouded.
