I'll be heading out to longmont tomorrow, thought i'd stop at a few local lakes when i have time. has anybody heard anything about Union Reservoir? ???

just wondering where the best spots would be to catch a few crappie

We talked a lot about Union last year. You can find most info by doing a search. Most talk was about the wiper and cats but I don't remember anyone talking about the crappie.

I fish union a lot for the most part im going after wiper but if the crappie are active right now and you have a boat go straight north from the boat ramp you will see a grassy bank that goes to a point, theres a big tree right on the corner. The shore has great cover and is about 4' to 6 ' deep, great spot!

If you're in Longmont, I'd try McCall for Crappie. It's on hwy 66, between Longmont and Lyons. It's right off the road. No boating, but float tubes are allowed.
