It's becoming a routine for me to go fishing on the upper Blue above Dillon after skiing in the morning at Mary Jane. I'll tell you exactly where it is because I think it's stupid and irritating to post a report if you don't tell where you were. I was just north of Breckenridge on Highway 9 near the wooden bridge. The weather was great, sunny, with a fairly good breeze. I had the place all to myself. A couple of weeks ago I caught a ton of trout on egg patterns. Today, it was slow. Only caught 3 on midge patterns. It was nice to get out anyway. Tons of fish in the water. I just couldn't interest many of them.

These guys were a little below average. Most are a foot long. I caught a 20 incher a couple of weeks ago, and I saw a couple in that range Sunday.
