:'( got skunked tueday started fishing about 630am along the dam quite about 430pm not a single bite not even a chase.  i tried everything in my vest and so did my wife.  it was raining when we got there and raining when we left.  iam really bumbed one day off this week and no fish.  still all in all it was better than being at work.

Sorry about that! I know the rain story. See my post about Stagecoach. This time of year those raindrops are cold when you are not reeling in fish. Better luck next time.

im betting youll make up for it in the spring that lake is suposed to be HOT for pike right at ice out

I wish that lake wasn't so far from the metro area. I have always wanted to fish that lake for pike. I heard that they survived the fires better than any of the other species.

Yeah them fall cold fronts make fishing tough, you really have to fish alot slower then you normally would. Its alot easier to get skunked this time a year.
