Hit the west end in my usual spot tonight. Fished from 6-10:30. Landed 11 walleye (no keepers):-\, 2 wipers and lost 5. Had quite a few bites. The go to baits were Berkley Cutter in Ghilly and a Smithwick Rogue in Tiger Roan. Had to mix it up between long pauses and steady pulls. The wipers were 15" and 19 1/4" - both are still swimming.

The wipers are schooling and I had a continuous wiper boil for fifteen minutes about 100 yards in front of me right at dusk. They broke up and that's when I caught the two. Another boil started up around 10PM and it sounded bigger than the first. I left before that boil ended (it was also about a hundred or more yards away).

Should be a good moon cycle!

Good deal-I haven't seen a wiper boil all year. Guess fishing at dark is the key.

Awesome man! I got into a crazy wiper boil last month but it was short lived. It was massive, biggest boil I have ever been in! My son in law and I landed 11 wipes and a couple bass. All on topwater of course in only an hour. Was a good time for sure. My buddy found the boil a few days before and we chased it for a few days. Good times!

Don't know how to submit photos anymore since Photobucket changed. I've tried for about an hour to use 3rd party hosting on Google with no success.

Anyway, if you're interested, this cut bait was about 200 yards offshore from the North Marina in May, 2014 in 55 degree water.

Hopefully they are still swimming?
